Our Ministry Team
Weldon Branham, Pastor
Susan and I were married September 9th 1983. We met at Rainbow Baptist Church, the church we married in. We have 3 children – all boys.

Samuel, our oldest son, and his wife Lisa live in Morgan Mill. They have 4 children, Hunter, Dillon, Colby and Kinzie.
​
Daniel, and his wife Misha, live in Glen Rose. They have one daughter, Becca.
Jacob, our youngest son, remains at home with us. He is a volunteer at Dublin Elementary Campus.
​
I currently serve as the Chaplain for Solaris Hospice in Stephenville. Prior to Solaris, I served as the chaplain and office manager for Universal Hospice in Stephenville for over 17 years.
​
Susan is currently working for Dublin ISD as the RTI aide for the Elementary campus. She took this position following some 12 years at Tarleton State University as the office manager for the Health and Counseling Center.
​
My education was completed at Tyndale Biblical Institute and Seminary located in Fort Worth. I received both my bachelor and master level diplomas from them. Their program allowed me to gain my education with both extension and online courses allowing me to continue working and being at home with family. My education focus on two areas: biblical counseling and biblical languages.
Susan and I have pastored in various places over the past 35 years. We began our ministerial work in a place called Hill City (a community just north of Glen Rose). We pastored in this church for 13 years. Following this pastorate, we served in Nemo Texas at New Prospect Baptist Church for 7 years.

After 20 years of bi-vocational ministry, the Lord has led us to continue as bi-vocational pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dublin, Texas while continuing to serve as Hospice chaplain in Stephenville.
​
We enjoy getting to know each of you and serve alongside you. We look forward to all opportunities and engagements the Lord has in store for the future of our church.
Courtney Scoggins, Ministry Assistant
Courtney is the first person you will meet as you enter the office at FBC and is ready and willing to offer assistance to members of the community.
​
She graduated from Tarleton State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Courtney was married to her husband Brian in 2011 and moved to Dublin in 2013. She began her journey here with us at FBC in February of 2016.

Courtney is happy to call this town home with her husband Brian and
their three "fur babies."
Samantha Neill, Kingdom Kids Preschool Director
Hi, my name is Samantha Neill and I am the Director of Kingdom Kids Preschool. My husband Roger and I just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We are proud parents to four beautiful children and 8 amazing grandchildren. We moved to this area from North Texas (Sherman/Bonham area) in October of 2020 and now call Comanche home. I would love to say that the transition was easy but with God’s grace it is getting easier.

I have been working in childcare administration since 2014 working as Director, Admin Assistant, Assistant Director and back to Director. I love the childcare business. I love working with the children, getting to know the parents, and the staff that we have working here at Kingdom Kids are truly the best I have ever worked with. It is so true that if you are working in your purpose and calling, it really doesn’t feel like work!

In my free time I love to read, work in my yard and be with my horses. I am a huge horse nerd! I know all kinds of weird facts about horses. When not with my own horses you will probably find me reading or watching something about horses.
​
I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone here and look forward to many years serving this community through Kingdom Kids.
Jeana Welch, Inside Caretaker
Jeana was born in Stephenville, Texas and raised in the small town of Gordon, Texas. She has been on staff at First Baptist Church, Dublin since 2009. Jeana is married to her best friend, Kerrey, and they have four amazing children together; Misty, Justin, Jacob, Wyatt, and their spouses. Jeana and Kerrey also have one amazing grandon, Blaze Aiden.
Jeana loves working and taking care of the church and has seen all the wonderful things that are happening at FBC and would like to invite you to come and worship. If you are in need of a church home, we welcome you here!
